Job description

Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading energy provider to recruit an EC&I Technician to work on a CHP plant in Seascale.

This crucial EC&I Technician has Monday to Friday working hours and the salary can be discussed upon application.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Site Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

* Fault finding, installing and maintaining, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level) and control systems.
* Calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the sites DCS/control systems.
* Maintaining the continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS)
* Assist in the development of plant modification and improvement work.
* Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS
* Supervising and directing on site contractors when required
* Ensuring strict HSE compliance at all times.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

* A recognised EC&I engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / HNC or equivalent
* Knowledge and understanding of maintenance on controls and instrumentation equipment
* Experience working in a maintenance position in a similar industry.

Personal skills

The EC and I Technician role would suit someone who:

* Has a positive attitude and is able to take initiative on site.
* Adheres to SHEQ regulations.
* Able to work Monday to Friday fixed hours.
