Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group is seeking an EC&I Technician for a permanent full-time role in Finnart. Candidates should have an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and at least 2 years of post-apprenticeship experience.

This role involves planned and reactive maintenance across critical site infrastructure related to UK defence operations. The technician will maintain electrical systems, support instrumentation maintenance, and may supervise other operatives while handling

• Experience with motors, switchgear, MCC/control panels.
• Medically fit for breathing apparatus and confined space training.

Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

• Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across critical site infrastructure
• Maintaining electrical distribution systems, motors, drives, switchgear, MCCs and control panels
• Supporting control systems and instrumentation maintenance
• Fault finding, repairs and rectification
• Completing inspections and maintenance records
• Supporting site operations and occasional UK travel
• Working safely in line with legislation and site procedures
• Supervising other operatives where required

Where will you be doing it?

You'll be joining an organisation operating and maintaining critical oil and fuel infrastructure supporting UK defence operations. The site is highly regulated, with a strong focus on safety, reliability and environmental standards.

What will you need?

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent training
• 18th Edition (BS7671)
• Minimum 2 years' post-apprenticeship electrical experience
• Electrical maintenance experience, including motors, switchgear and MCC/control panels
• 2391 or equivalent inspection and testing qualification
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel occasionally and stay overnight
• Hazardous / COMAH experience desirable
• CompEx EX01-EX04 desirable
• Instrumentation experience advantageous; training provided
• Medically fit for breathing apparatus and confined space training
• Full colour vision required
