Job description

On behalf of our client, NRL is recruiting for an EC&I Technician for work in the Hartlepool area.

Duration: 12 months contract

Location: Hartlepool Power Station, TS25 2BZ

Hours: 37 per week. Monday – Thursday, 9.25 hours per day (07:15 - 17:00)

Rate: Your requested hourly rate will be considered. (Umbrella or PAYE only)

Clearance Level: Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)

Role description: To undertake installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities in accordance with training, best practice, and trade/legal standards.

Academic Requirements: Level 3 Qualification (e.g., Recognised Training Scheme or Apprenticeship) appropriate to the trade.

  • CCNSG Safety Passport required

Experience requirements: Site installation/maintenance experience (preferred) in Nuclear Industry/Power Generation.

Principal Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning and preparation of works.
  • Carry out work in accordance with work packs, best practice, and applicable standards.
  • Comply with health and safety requirements of the work pack or area.
  • Conduct safety and behavioural observations.
  • Adhere to quality requirements of the work pack.
  • Not proceed past hold points.
  • Report defects, damage, safety hazards, or other issues to line management.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Line Manager, consistent with competency.

These duties are project-specific and in addition to those in company and project manuals and procedures. Familiarity with these documents and relevant legislation is essential.
