Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Install, calibrate, and commission instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow).
• Troubleshoot and modify PLC and control systems.

Skills

Strong knowledge of SCADA

Proficiency in PLCs (Omron, Siemens, Allen Bradley)

Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Experience in hazardous area environments (ATEX)

Education

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Technician to join a highly reputable and well-established industrial company at their site in Mitcham. Skills required for the EC&I Technician:

NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Control Systems (or equivalent).

Strong knowledge of SCADA, PLCs (Omron, Siemens, Allen Bradley), and field instrumentation.

Experience in hazardous area environments (ATEX) beneficial.

Able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

The EC&I Technician will be responsible for:

Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.

Installation, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, etc.).

Troubleshooting and modifying PLC and control systems to ensure optimal performance.

Maintaining and updating control system documentation.

Supporting plant upgrades, shutdowns, and new installations.

Working closely with engineers and operations teams to resolve issues.
