We are on the search for a new EC&I Technician to join our growing team in Spalding. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our priorities and provide crucial EC&I support to optimise plant availability. You’ll play an important role in ensuring Spalding remains reliable and flexible while still achieving high standards of safety, quality, and environmental performance.
This is a full-time day working role with flexibility needed for out of hours/on-call support when needed.

As our new EC&I Technician, you’re technically minded, and solutions driven with a background in power generation or other heavy industry/technical production environments. You have a strong understanding of operational and maintenance practices within a CCGT power plant and gas/steam turbines like technical drawings, computer aided MMS and instrumentation and vibration monitoring. You are confident working with control systems (DCS, SCADA and PLC’s) like infi90, T3000, GE MKVIe and Siemens S7. You’ll bring knowledge of medium voltage switchgear and high voltage generators/monitors and transformers. Your flexible personality, critical thinking and strong initiative help you make informed decisions and give you the confidence to have technical discussions that support plant safety and reliability.

HNC/HND in a relevant field preferred but we are open to candidates with the right practical experience and attitude.
PLC/software programming skills would be an advantage but not essential as training for the right candidate can be provided.
