Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Fault finding, installing and maintaining instrumentation and control systems.
  • Calibrating and checking instruments related to the site's DCS/control systems.
  • Maintaining continuous emission monitoring systems.
  • Assisting in plant modification development.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records using CMMS.
  • Supervising on-site contractors as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with HSE regulations.

Job description


Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading energy provider to recruit an EC&I Technician to work on a CHP plant in Seascale.

This crucial EC&I Technician has Monday to Friday working hours and the salary can be discussed upon application.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Site Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Fault finding, installing and maintaining, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level) and control systems.
  • Calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the sites DCS/control systems.
  • Maintaining the continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS)
  • Assist in the development of plant modification and improvement work.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS
  • Supervising and directing on site contractors when required
  • Ensuring strict HSE compliance at all times.


Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • A recognised EC&I engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / HNC or equivalent
  • Knowledge and understanding of maintenance on controls and instrumentation equipment
  • Experience working in a maintenance position in a similar industry.


Personal skills

The EC and I Technician role would suit someone who:

  • Has a positive attitude and is able to take initiative on site.
  • Adheres to SHEQ regulations.
  • Able to work Monday to Friday fixed hours.
