This role is about delivering medium-large sized capital projects which enhance site capabilities, improve efficiency, and ensure our facilities remain best-in-class.
You’ll work in a multi-disciplinary environment, managing projects from initial concept and business case through to delivery, handover, and post-project review. This is a role for someone who thrives on variety, responsibility, and making a visible difference to both people and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead multi-disciplinary capital and improvement projects across distilling sites- from concept and business case, supplier sourcing, tendering through to successful delivery and handover.
Support feasibility studies, develop project designs, and manage contractors during installation and commissioning.
Develop and apply engineering expertise to resolve plant issues, enhance capacity and productivity, and support sustainability and environmental goals.
Plan and justify future investments, translating development needs into Site Master Plans, 5-year strategies, and robust CAPEX proposals backed by sound financial analysis.
Work closely with site operations, maintenance, and HSE as well as report into senior project leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with business requirements.
Implement structured processes and reporting, driving governance, capital performance tracking, and continuous improvement in project delivery standards.
Person requirements
This is a technical engineering role in a highly regulated environment, requiring a strong combination of technical, contract management and project governance expertise.
Experienced Project Engineering professional with a track record of delivering complex capital projects
Engineering background, or strong exposure to working in an EC&I context.
Ideally coming from a regulated industry such as the drinks, food manufacturing, dairy water, refinery, chemical or pharma sectors
