Based anywhere across the UK, the EC & Field Service Engineer will have 2 main responsibilities;

What will you do?

Accountabilities:

  • Deliver high-level technical and professional service to customers, emphasizing safety and quality, aiming for on-time, in-full, right-first-time delivery.
  • Provide detailed Site Reports highlighting actions needed and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supervise activities of Company or Customer-supplied Technicians, ensuring safety, site discipline, and activity management.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and complete required risk assessments.
What do you bring?

Essential skills, knowledge, and behaviors:

  • Experience with PLC and HMI programming tools such as Rockwell (Studio 5000, RS Logix 5000, Factory Talk, Logix 500), Siemens (PCS7, Step 7, WinCC, TIA Portal), Schneider (Control Expert / SCADA Expert), Governor – Woodward 505, AVR – Baslter DECs 200/250.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols like Modbus RS485/TCP, Profibus, Profinet, Control Net, and basic TCP networking.
  • Experience with power generation on Gensets 5-30MW, including governor and excitation systems, operational modes, and pressure regulation.
  • Knowledge of site maintenance and repair of Steam Turbines.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain good customer relationships professionally.
  • A strong focus on health and safety.
  • Ability to supervise complex installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
  • Teamwork and individual work capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical documentation including risk assessments, site reports, root cause analyses, method statements, and project plans.
  • Experience working on international assignments, including non-English environments.
  • Full UK driving license.

Desirable skills, knowledge, and behaviors:

  • Knowledge of site installation and commissioning of Steam Turbines; training provided if needed.
  • Previous offshore experience.
