Job summary

iO Associates is seeking an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer in Warrington, Cheshire. This hybrid role requires three days onsite per week and offers £40,000-£50,000 per annum DOE + benefits.

The position focuses on radiometric characterisation and alarm systems for nuclear safety, clean energy, defence and civil decommissioning across the UK and internationally. You will develop technical solutions, lead design improvements, and collaborate with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience in EC&I engineering and nuclear or high-hazard environments.
• Proven ability to lead design investigations and implement improvements.
• Strong communication with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify technical solutions in line with safety and quality standards.
• Lead technical investigations and drive design improvements across projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers and suppliers to manage specifications and delivery.
• Provide systems input and technical support through installation, testing and commissioning.
• Support project execution while mentoring and developing junior engineers.
• Promote engineering excellence, health and safety, and continuous improvement.
