Our client, a leading engineering and maintenance provider, is currently seeking an EC&I Construction Manager to join their team in Kingston upon Hull, supporting the PUMA project at Mitsubishi Chemicals UK's new production plant. This new role is an opportunity to oversee the construction and installation of electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project schedules and budgets within the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe execution of all EC&I work scopes.
  • Make work site visits to planned activities and carry out safety and HSE audits.
  • Collaborate with project/construction managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure activities are executed as scheduled.
  • Assist in the management of project budgets and costs related to EC&I scopes.
  • Manage contract compliance and change orders.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Participate in project meetings and present relevant updates.
  • Coordinate with the procurement/materials team to ensure resources are available for execution.
  • Identify potential risks and address them proactively to avoid delays or safety concerns.
  • Monitor progress against the project schedule.
  • Provide guidance and support to the EC&I team members.
  • Ensure clear communication and collaboration between team members and subcontractors.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in controls systems, controls & instrumentation (CORE), and electrical disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations within the energy sector.
  • Proven experience managing teams and coordinating subcontractors.
