Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care offers a 12-month surgery internship at a referral hospital in the New Forest, aimed at veterinary surgeons pursuing specialist training. You will rotate through Soft Tissue, Orthopaedic Surgery, and out-of-hours duties under supervision.

You will join a multidisciplinary team providing advanced care while developing clinical, professional, and academic competencies, including teaching, research and governance activities.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree with RCVS registration.
• Minimum 2 years' experience and completion of rotating/surgical internship.
• Strong organisational and time management skills to handle a demanding workload.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Reflective, self-directed approach to learning and professional development.
• Resilience, adaptability and ability to work in a high-pressure clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Undertake EBVS (or equivalent) approved specialist training under supervision.
• Manage complex cases and participate in out-of-hours and weekend duties.
• Contribute to teaching, research and clinical governance activities.
• Deliver advanced veterinary care as part of a referral hospital team.
• Rotate between Soft Tissue, Orthopaedic Surgery and the out-of-hours service.
