DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented EBU Global Off Highway Senior Finance Analyst to join our team specializing in Finance for our Global EBU Finance Team in Darlington, United Kingdom.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional for a 6-month maternity cover position. This role is also open to Internal Secondments.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

1. Maintain Financial Integrity: Perform specialized accounting work and maintain the department's general ledger to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial records.
2. Detailed Financial Analysis: Analyze the department's chart of accounts and financial statements to identify variances and provide insights for decision-making.
3. Timely Reporting: Record and report transactions promptly to support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
4. Internal Controls: Review and develop internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
5. Strategic Support: Collaborate with finance leadership on strategic issues to develop and execute business strategies.
6. Cross-Regional Collaboration: Work with regional finance teams in Europe and the US to align financial operations.
7. Financial Modelling and Analysis: Develop and present financial models to support strategic decisions.
8. Process Improvement: Manage and enhance processes for system inputs and outputs to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

1. Strong Accounting and Financial Knowledge: Understanding of US GAAP and financial regulations for accurate reporting.
2. Analytical and Reporting Skills: Experience in financial analysis, planning, and forecasting with effective presentation skills.
3. Business Partnering and Collaboration: Ability to work with stakeholders to drive performance and align strategies.
4. Internal Controls and Regulatory Acumen: Expertise in internal control frameworks and compliance with applicable regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, CA, or similar preferred.
• Intermediate relevant professional experience.
• Experience in ad hoc reporting.
• Proactive, energetic, and enthusiastic approach to opportunities and challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to optimize processes and manage complex, high-volume information.
