A great opportunity for an QA Assistant Technologist to join a growing Ecommerce Retailer in the Worsley area. They sell a variety of trend-led products for the home and apparel, including Bedding, throws, cushions, and loungewear. Due to strong trading figures and company investment, they are seeking to expand their Technologist team.

Job Description

1. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for product categories, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
2. Review and approve product specifications, providing advice on quality control measures and test plans.
3. Identify potential risks early and collaborate with the product development team and suppliers to implement mitigation strategies.
4. Work with the product development teams to integrate quality standards at the inception stage of new products.
5. Address non-conformities by working with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
6. Assess and review technical documentation, including material datasheets, regulatory declarations, and product certifications.
7. Ensure materials and components used in product development meet regulatory and safety standards.
8. Maintain a compliance database for all product categories and packaging requirements.
9. Plan, coordinate, and oversee external lab testing for UK & EU markets.
10. Stay informed about emerging risks and regulatory updates to ensure product safety.
11. Perform in-house testing where applicable, recording all processes and outcomes.
12. Ensure packaging, labeling, and declarations meet legal requirements.
13. Review and approve safety claims and create instructional materials accordingly.
