Qualifications

• Permis de conduire britannique valide (minimum 1 an).
• Capacité physique à marcher 6-7 miles par jour.
• Expérience en service client souhaitée mais pas essentielle.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are hiring METER READERS in your postcode now; no experience is required.

As a Meter Reader, your responsibilities will include collecting data from gas, electricity, and water meters for both commercial and residential properties. You will update meter readings accurately using a handheld device, entering details at each location, and providing excellent customer service.

What we offer:

• £12.61 - £13.00 per hour (weekly pay)
• 40-45 hours per week with flexible start and finish times, Monday to Friday (occasionally Saturday), between 8 am - 8 pm
• Average annual earnings between £27,000 and £31,000
• Bonus scheme with potential earnings up to £1,000 monthly
• Overtime rates (£16-£18) at manager’s discretion

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence (minimum 1 year, no more than 3 points, no DR offences)
• Physically fit, able to bend, lift, kneel, climb stairs, crouch, and walk 6-7 miles daily
• Willing to work in all weather conditions
• Clear DBS check (no unspent criminal convictions)
• Clean credit report (no recent county court judgments, IVA, or debt relief orders in last 6 years)
• 5 years of employment history
• Previous customer service experience (preferred but not essential)

Responsibilities:

• Retrieving data from water, gas, and electric meters at various sites, with training provided
• Performing visual inspections of metering equipment
• Conducting Charge Point Surveys
• Working independently with drive and motivation
• Maintaining a friendly and professional approach
• Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times

Training:

• One-week training program combining classroom and field experience with an experienced meter reader, providing practical insights into the role
