Job description

Production Operator (12 month temp contract), York

This role involves operating various process plant and equipment, including liquid and powder filling lines, and mechanical handling equipment such as counterbalance forklift trucks.

Responsibilities include:

• Operating production plant and equipment, such as semi-automatic bottle filling lines, powder tipping stations, or bag and sack filling machinery.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the work area.
• Cross-training in different areas of the site and reporting to the Process Manager.
• Working on a rotating shift pattern or standard days as required.

Profile

• Full compliance with all company and local safety procedures related to chemical, process, and occupational safety.
• Ability to operate mechanical handling equipment (subject to qualification/training), including counterbalance forklift trucks and pedestrian pallet trucks (both powered and manual).
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to work rotating shifts as needed.
• Ideally, candidates will already hold a forklift license; training will be provided if necessary.
