Job description

Job Title: Facilities Coordinator

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Facilities Coordinator to support the Facilities Management Team at the Evington Centre and associated outer sites.

Role Overview

As a Facilities Coordinator, you will assist the Deputy Facilities Manager in delivering a professional, efficient, and cost-effective service related to cleaning, catering, and facilities management at Glenfield Hospital. You will ensure high departmental standards are maintained and regularly audited, with the ability to assess workloads and prioritize effectively.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking Facilities Coordinator who thrives in a team environment. You should be highly motivated, possess good communication and organizational skills, and have an analytical approach to problem-solving. The role requires promoting the Facilities department and delivering a customer-focused service, as well as developing new skills and keeping up with technological advancements.

Working Hours

37.5 hours per week.

Main Duties
  1. Manage the daily operations of the multi-skilled Facilities Department, including catering, cleaning, waste management, and portering, ensuring effective resource utilization.
  2. Deliver services in accordance with national standards and provide cover for other Facilities Coordinators at different locations across the Trust when required, so a car user is essential.
  3. Ensure all services are compliant, providing a safe and appropriate environment for patients and visitors, and enabling staff to deliver care effectively.
  4. Work various shift patterns, including covering bank holidays, and participate in an on-call rota with other Facilities Coordinators.
  5. Collaborate with clinical leaders and teams to develop environments that meet high standards, are future-proofed, evidence-based, and clinically appropriate.
