Kido is a place where innovation and imagination unite to create modern Early Years settings. We’re looking for a Deputy Room Leader to join our team at Kido International Nursery & Preschool, Hounslow.

We are an international nursery group operating in India, USA, and the UK. All our UK nurseries are rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted and are located in London and Windsor. We are growing rapidly, opening 1-2 new nurseries each year! Our curriculum blends Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf Steiner approaches, catering to children aged 3 months to 5 years. We believe in a mix of free and structured play within an engaging learning environment, supported by love, care, and attention.

Role Responsibilities

As Deputy Room Leader, you will be a key part of our team, embodying our values and supporting the Room Leader. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the Room Leader in managing the room and ensuring high standards of care and education.
  2. Planning and delivering engaging activities aligned with EYFS and our curriculum.
  3. Observing and assessing children’s progress, setting goals, and celebrating achievements.
  4. Leading by example and stepping in during the Room Leader’s absence to maintain outstanding standards.
  5. Creating a nurturing environment that respects each child's background, culture, and needs.
  6. Communicating effectively with parents, children, and colleagues.
Candidate Requirements
  • Level 2+ childcare qualification (see gov.uk for recognized qualifications)
  • Alignment with our core values: Listen, Learn, Lead
  • Experience as an Educator, preferably with previous Deputy Room Leader experience
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to undergo DBS check and provide details of any unspent convictions
