Murrayfield Primary School has a roll of 180 pupils, with an additional 34 pupils enrolled at our Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) facility. The school comprises 9 classes and a small group setting.
The school operates within a collaborative leadership model alongside Blackburn Primary School. The roles of the Head Teacher and Depute Headteacher span both schools, with Principal Teachers allocated to and based within specific schools. Now entering its third year, this model has fostered strong collaboration between pupils and staff across both settings. We aim to strengthen joint parental engagement approaches in the coming year.
The Principal Teacher will be based at Murrayfield Primary School but will have improvement priorities and leadership responsibilities across both schools.
The school has an active Parent Council and maintains good links with the local community. We value collaboration and have strong collegiate links with cluster schools.
