An exciting opportunity for a registered ODP or RGN with anaesthetic qualifications to join a supportive theatre team. This role involves ensuring high standards of patient care, supporting anaesthetists, and the chance to expand skills in scrub or recovery. The trust offers a friendly environment with professional development opportunities and a commitment to ongoing training.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, innovative, and highly motivated registered ODP or RGN with a post-registration Anaesthetic qualification, and a wide range of clinical skills, to work within our theatres. Whether you are an experienced practitioner or a recently qualified ODP, we would love to hear from you.
We are a friendly team with a family feel, balancing hard-working shifts with a busy trust-wide social scene, including trips to the coast, theatres, and Christmas markets.
The vacancy is to work within the anaesthetic support team. We also positively encourage practitioners interested in dual roles in Scrub or PACU, as we value multi-skilling.
We welcome applications from recently qualified practitioners as well.
Using your anaesthetic qualification, you will be a key member of the peri-operative team, ensuring that patients receive excellent standards of care.
You will support the Anaesthetist, prepare a range of medical devices, communicate effectively with the wider theatre team, and prioritize patient care.
If interested in dual roles or maintaining/gaining skills in scrub or recovery, we can facilitate this within our teams.
Our department benefits from a state-of-the-art, fully electronic patient record system that covers the entire patient journey.
You will be driven to deliver effective, current, and evidence-based standards of care, working with your team to ensure smooth department operations.
We are committed to ongoing professional development, offering a mandatory preceptorship program for newly qualified staff, support through induction, and access to in-house and external courses. We promote multi-skilling into scrub and/or recovery for practitioners interested in expanding their skills. Our dedicated practice development team and supportive management are here to assist your career growth.
