About the programme
Electrical and Electronic Engineering is at the core of our design and integration projects at Babcock.
From fitting-out advanced warship systems, designing the next generation of nuclear power plants or providing a safe, reliable and efficient rail network, we provide our customers with better capability, reliability and availability for their critical assets.
You’ll spend between two to four years getting involved in defence engineering, rail engineering, or complex nuclear projects.
As part of this programme, we encourage mobility across our sectors to give you broader experience and exposure to our business.
Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Babcock
You could work on anything from submarines, warship refits, nuclear power plant design, to engineering track projects.
Day-to-day, you might work on electrical power distribution or control and instrumentation, involving analogue and digital systems.
Our graduates are involved in concept design, AutoCAD layouts, testing, installation, commissioning, and client handover. You may also manage projects and lead teams.
What you'll need
• A BEng (Hons) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related fields (Engineering, Systems, Computing, IT), preferably accredited by IET.
• Eligibility for Security Clearance and BPSS is required for many roles, which may be affected by your nationality or residency.
