We are delighted to be recruiting for an outstanding employer based in Northern Ireland.

Our client is one of the world's largest suppliers of conveyor pulleys, with manufacturing facilities in Ireland and China producing in excess of 50,000 pulleys annually.

This is a family-run business with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing conveyor pulleys. With their ever-expanding client base, they are currently expanding their headquarters in Ireland to meet increasing demand.

JOB DETAILS:

Job Title: Machine Operative (Plasma Cutters)

Work Location: Dungannon, Co. Tyrone

Reports To: Shift Team Leader/Production Supervisor

Job Purpose: To operate machines to manufacture required components in line with the production schedule.

Schedule: It is a 40-hour week, with a 15-minute paid tea break and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Shift patterns include:

  1. Morning shifts: 6am to 3pm Mon to Thurs and Fri 6am to 12noon
  2. 7am to 4pm Mon to Thurs and Fri 7am to 1pm
  3. Day Shift: 8am to 5pm Mon to Thurs and Fri 8am to 2pm
  4. Evening Shift: 3pm to 11:40pm Mon to Thurs and Fri 12noon to 6pm

Salary: £11.85 - 12.50 per hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To correctly operate machine to manufacture component parts for production, to required quality standards in accordance with work instructions provided.
  • To read, understand and correctly implement technical drawings.
  • To handle, transport and store component parts as per training and instruction.
  • To maintain work equipment and a safe and well-organized workstation.
  • To complete daily safety checks to ensure machine and work equipment are in good working order and submit all necessary check sheets as required.
  • To follow instructions provided by Supervisor.
  • To work in accordance with relevant Risk Assessments & safe systems of work (SSOWs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs), as per training and instruction.
  • To comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties, within reason and capability, as agreed with the General Manager / Supervisor.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Good standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent
  • A strong work ethic
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Ability to read and use measuring tools
  • Previous experience of operating work machinery
  • Operational use of Cranes, Air & Hand Tools
