Overview

The Salvation Army’s Kroc Center is hiring a Housekeeper and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location: 650 Dudley St., Dorchester, MA

Pay Range: $18.00/hr.

Education Requirements: Minimum of High School Graduate or Equivalent

Work Experience: Experience in commercial or residential cleaning preferred, but not necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Provide routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting of all interior and exterior building surfaces and furnishings.
2. Regular cleaning and sanitation of areas including restrooms, shower rooms, locker rooms, fitness areas, library, offices, nursery, classrooms, chapel, kitchen, lounges, dining rooms, etc.
3. Regular removal of trash and recyclables.
4. Regular cleaning and sweeping of exterior areas including sidewalks and paved areas.
5. Maintain appropriate inventories of cleaning products, supplies and products such as paper towels, toilet tissue, and soaps throughout the facility.
6. Maintain the appearance of the facilities and grounds including doors, windows, flooring, walls, and furnishings.
7. Maintain records of room cleaning.
8. Work in a cooperative manner with the other on-site managers of the RJKCCC.
9. Attend all scheduled staff meetings.
10. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
11. Sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or occasional continuous basis.
12. Grasp, push, pull objects such as reference materials, files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead.
13. Ability to load and to change settings, devices, fixtures, on various equipment used in and around an office environment.
14. Operate telephone and other electronic communication devices.
15. Operate various other office equipment including personal computers, copiers, fax machines, and scanning equipment.
16. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
17. Ability to be creative, original, intuitive, and perceptive.
18. Ability to think logically and critically.
19. Ability to envision a project from beginning to end.
20. Ability to solve complex problems, make appropriate judgments and decisions.
