BEAR Scotland manages and maintains over 2,500 km of Scotland's trunk road network within the South East. BEAR is responsible for over 750 bridges and structures, including the iconic Forth Road Bridge and Queensferry Crossing, as well as other major bridges such as the Kincardine Bridge and Clackmannanshire Bridge.

We have opportunities for Graduate Bridge Engineers in our project management and design teams across our South East Unit. The roles are based in our Queensferry, Bonnyrigg, and Burghmuir offices. Candidates should hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Previous work experience is not required but would be beneficial. BEAR offers competitive salaries and a graduate training scheme accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers.
Our Graduate Engineers will assist experienced teams in delivering multi-million-pound schemes during the feasibility, design, procurement, and construction of roads and bridge refurbishment and strengthening projects. This is an excellent opportunity for any Graduate Engineer to develop their design and Project Management experience.
BEAR Scotland manages, maintains, and improves 1962 km of Scottish trunk roads, including over 2000 bridges and structures, through some of the most scenic yet challenging parts of the country. This involves delivering multi-million-pound investments annually on road maintenance and improvement.
