SEN/SEMH Support Roles – Ideal for Former Social Workers

Location: Newcastle
Pay: £83.85 – £90 per day (depending on experience)
Full-time & part-time opportunities available

The Role:

You’ll be working with students who have special educational needs (SEN), including social, emotional, and mental health challenges (SEMH). Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 or small group support, helping students overcome learning barriers.

• Implementing personalised interventions to promote emotional well-being and academic progress.

• Collaborating with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals.

• Managing behaviour effectively and supporting students with emotional regulation.

• Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with vulnerable individuals (children or young adults) in a professional setting.

• Ability to work with students facing SEMH challenges, trauma, and attachment difficulties.

• Resilient, patient, and empathetic personality.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
