A Day in the Life of a Specialist Chemotherapy Nurse:

Join our team as a Chemotherapy Nurse and make a real difference in the lives of oncology patients. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments for oncology patients.
  • Providing IV chemotherapy administration and ensuring safe home treatment.
  • Educating and training patients (or carers) to self-administer medications.
  • Performing dressings, blood transfusions, and monitoring patient well-being.
  • Acting as the bridge between patients and their hospital care team.
  • Delivering professional care with empathy and expertise.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • NMC-registered RGN with a Chemotherapy delivery qualification.
  • Experience in administering oncology medication and IV therapy.
  • Strong understanding of NHS patient management and treatment pathways.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
