Job Description Summary
As an Assembler/Tester, you'll be part of a team assembling high-quality, small electronics for aircraft cockpits. You will use various hand tools related to electronics assembly, including crimpers, soldering irons, and wire strippers. For most entry-level roles, prior electronics manufacturing experience is not required, but it is a plus.

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Education or GED equivalency
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Assemble parts according to process sheet/print instructions.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, magnetic testing as required (e.g., dielectric, megger, hipot).
- Perform in-process hi-pot testing and basic fixture setup.
- Perform vapor blasting as needed; conduct inventory counts and verification.
- Assist with prototype or first-time builds under guidance.
- Support engineering in developing and improving layout procedures and process sheets.
- Review expiration dates of materials and ensure all materials and equipment are current.
- Work proactively to improve efficiency and quality; maintain good housekeeping.
- Use proper PPE and follow safety procedures.
- Cross-train team members as needed based on knowledge and experience.
- Complete all labor tracking documentation accurately.
- Report issues to appropriate personnel or coach.
- Inform shift operators of any operational or setup problems.
- Communicate with team members about new processes or issues; interact with cross-functional teams when necessary.
- Participate in and support team initiatives.
- Adhere to GE Leadership behaviors.
- Perform other duties as required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in assembly, soldering, and electronics manufacturing.
- Comfort working with chemicals and gas compounds.
- Experience in self-directed team environments.

- Problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications and familiarity with 5S & lean manufacturing.
Physical Demands:
- Repetitive use of hands and fingers.
- Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, squatting, climbing, or balancing.
- Sitting for extended periods; lifting up to 20 lbs; pushing/pulling up to 22 lbs.
