Your new company Our client is seeking a hands-on Payroll Manager to join their team on a 6-month FTC basis to cover business as usual duties. Salary: £60-70k per annum depending on experience.
Your new role
Manage a team of experienced payroll administrators and payroll juniors.
Ensure that all HMRC submissions are made, payroll reconciliations carried out, and all legislative timescales are adhered to.
Mentor and train the less experienced team members.
Lead on all payroll-related projects.
Process high volume payroll from start to finish, including EPS & FPS, on a monthly basis with various complexities.
Process all statutory deductions.
Deal with escalated queries.
Complete RTI submissions, reports, and reconciliations.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience of managing or supervising a payroll team.
Excellent current, technical payroll knowledge.
Ability to mentor and develop a team.
Experience of processing a manual payroll from start to finish.
Excellent systems and numerical skills.
A technically strong payroll professional who can lead by example and impart their in-depth payroll knowledge to the team.
