The Finance Directorate is responsible for approximately £300m of income and expenditure annually, with around 7,500 staff and students having access to our Finance systems to initiate, review and approve financial transactions and reports. Based within the Finance Directorate the successful candidate will have a key role as part of the Finance Helpdesk team who are responsible for providing the highest standard of professional advice and support on a broad range of Finance matters to all our students, staff, external customers and suppliers. This role primarily involves dealing effectively with finance enquiries ensuring resolution within required turnaround times. You will also be required to establish an excellent understanding of the customer experience and contribute to continuous improvement in financial working practices. You will also be required to support financial training courses across the University as well as preparing and delivering training on a one to one basis.
With a formal qualification such as an HND or with considerable relevant experience, you will have a developing track record of contributing at a professional level within a Finance environment. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with Unit4 Business World On within an HE Finance environment. You will have experience of providing excellent customer service delivered with enthusiasm and commitment to providing the highest quality of service and support. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to work effectively as part of the Finance Helpdesk team as well as providing support across the wider Finance Directorate.
