Year 1 Teacher Needed at Catholic School in Woolton
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Full Year)
Rate: £130 - £180 / Day.
A 'GOOD' rated Catholic School in Woolton is seeking a full-time Year 1 teacher to cover a long-term absence from September 2025 to July 2026. The position is available through Teaching Personnel, with whom the school has a Service Level Agreement under the Liverpool Archdiocese.
The permanent class teacher is taking a leave of absence, and the school is seeking a long-term replacement to provide consistency for the students. The role is scheduled to last at least 12 months, with the possibility of extending further.
The Headteacher is eager to receive CVs as soon as possible. Applicants should highlight recent experience in a KS1 classroom and demonstrate how they have contributed to improving attainment. The school welcomes applications from all candidates, including NQTs and UPS Teachers.
As the school is part of the Liverpool Archdiocese, it is essential that candidates are respectful of and can uphold the Catholic faith. Located in Woolton, the school serves a community where some children come from socially deprived backgrounds and may be behind national expectations. The Headteacher is supportive and will arrange meetings with the English and Maths Lead teachers to facilitate effective planning. Experience with Read Write Inc. is crucial, as this is the school's chosen phonics program.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
