Role Overview
  1. Providing mental health and wellbeing triage assessments within the Primary Care arena for individuals experiencing mental health and wellbeing issues.
  2. Signposting individuals and making referrals to a wide range of self-management, community resources, third sector, and Health and Social Care Services.
  3. Demonstrating knowledge, skills, and understanding of mental health issues and treatment options to support Primary Care staff.
  4. Working within the Primary Care arena to contribute to early intervention and prevention of mental ill health, promote parity of esteem, reduce stigma, and enhance intervention options.
  5. Providing supervisory support to junior nursing staff.
  6. Working as part of an Integrated Care Team, demonstrating effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Candidate Requirements
  • Registered on Sub-part 1: RN3 or RNMH of the UK NMC Register.
  • Display strengths-based and socially inclusive approaches to working.
  • Ability to manage change and a commitment to improving the lives of individuals with mental health problems.
  • Passionate about promoting Mental Health and Wellbeing.
