Cyber Advisory - Assistant Manager (4692)

Overview of the Team

The Cyber Advisory team provides cyber security assurance, advice, and guidance to clients on all aspects to help them build and maintain a robust security environment. We identify cyber risks and work closely with clients to understand their unique digital opportunities and challenges, providing tailored and strategic advice. We support our clients in assessing, building, and managing their cyber security capabilities, from ensuring compliance with industry regulations to mitigating risks and enhancing their security posture.

Within the national cyber security team, you will deliver cyber security assurance and advisory services to a diverse range of clients both nationally and internationally, including FTSE 350 companies. Our clients span sectors such as:

  • Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, and Investment
  • Corporates/Private Sector/Industry & Services
  • Central and Local Government
  • Retail and Consumer Products

Job Purpose

The role involves supporting project delivery across the project lifecycle, from sales and business development to project planning, execution, and final reporting. You will contribute to client recommendations and project outcomes.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Participating in all stages of the consulting sales cycle, from lead qualification to delivery assurance
  • Thinking strategically and communicating effectively in a business context
  • Becoming a subject matter expert in various security and risk management domains (e.g., IT risk, cyber risk, governance, compliance, maturity assessments) and leading industry practices (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001)
  • Managing communication of key findings through reports and presentations to senior management and stakeholders
  • Maintaining industry knowledge and trends
  • Mentoring junior consultants on engagements
  • Contributing to the development of project methodologies and quality standards

The Person

Your skills and experience should include:

  • Strong knowledge of cyber security advisory work
  • Relevant security qualifications (e.g., MSc in Information Security, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 LA) preferred

  • Analytical skills for problem-solving and research
  • Attention to detail and time management

Training
