Job Title: Infrastructure Automation Engineer

Location: London

Deutsche Bank is building out new capabilities in BMaaS (Bare Metal as-a-service) and VMaaS (Virtual Machines as-a-service). We are looking for engineers to join the team to develop the architecture and oversee the build-out.

As part of a strategic transformation, Deutsche Bank through Group Technology Infrastructure is modernizing its infrastructure capabilities and building a private cloud. This cloud will be based on similar public cloud technologies, offering application teams a common control plane to instantiate, configure, and deploy infrastructure components and capabilities as code. This is an exciting journey over the next few years.

Your key responsibilities

• Engineer third-party and in-house products for Bare Metal and Virtual Machine services
• Collaborate with architecture, product management, transformation, and DevOps teams to deliver capabilities
• Partner with vendor engineers to develop a customer-focused, programmatically consumable infrastructure platform
• Engineer core integration with control plane technologies such as Hashicorp TFE or Ansible
• Provide DevOps automation and documentation to ensure product is consumable with no manual intervention

Your skills and experience

• Understanding of Bare Metal and IT Infrastructure
• Knowledge of SDNs and Overlay networks
• Strong developer/engineering skills in Python, YAML/HCL, Git/Github
• Experience with Terraform platform and third-party TFE Providers
• Experience with Metalsoft and/or Morpheus is a plus
• Experience with compute capabilities on Hyperscalers, ideally Google Cloud Platform, and understanding of Hypervisor offerings, including VMware
