Job Title: Financial Controller

We are recruiting for a services business that is a multi-national private equity-backed company with an annual turnover of over 80 million euros. The role of Financial Controller will be based in Frankfurt, adopting a hybrid work model.

The successful candidate will manage a small team and will be the first hire in finance within Germany. The team is expected to grow to approximately 5-6 members. The position offers a salary range of 110,000 to 120,000 euros plus bonus.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Experience in a larger business environment with a mix of accounting, FP&A, budgeting, and commercial finance skills.
• Desire to build and develop a finance team.
• Fluent in German and English.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage all technical accounting under IFRS and HGB standards.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, collaborating with Big 4 auditors on complex matters.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Coordinate with the group finance team not based in Germany.
• Support commercial finance activities and FP&A, including forecasting against budgets, analyzing variances, and financial modeling for potential M&A deals with support from advisors and local teams.
• Participate in local system upgrades, credit control tracking, and due diligence processes.
• Collaborate with Group FP&A to develop a comprehensive budget for the German team.
