JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development of cost models for new product opportunities.
- Analyze customer engineering drawings and documentation for materials, process, and quality elements.
- Develop the bill of material and routing sequence in the cost model.
- Assist in estimating tooling and gages requirements.
- Prepare technical data for sourcing team to quote raw materials and outside vendor processing.
- Review RFQ documentation for completeness (prints, CAD models, BOM).
- Manage gated process of quotes to meet quick turnaround times, leveraging site estimators and centralized team members.
- Support weekly bid review meetings at assigned sites.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS Degree in a related Engineering discipline or extensive experience.
- Experience in the aerospace industry.
- At least seven years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering of aerospace machining components.
- Ability to generate cost models and process steps using NX (Unigraphics) 3D CAD system.
- Experience reviewing and preparing RFQ responses.
- Knowledge of EDM, multi-axis machining centers, lathes, and grinding machines.
- Familiarity with processes like Brazing, Welding, Heat Treatment, Plating, and Plasma Coating.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Same as above qualifications, emphasizing experience in aerospace machining components and advanced CAD modeling.
