Role

The Global Contracts and Programmes Manager oversees complex portfolios of contracts that serve key global customers. You will be the primary contact for customers, managing, coordinating, and communicating with service and sales teams.

You will ensure contracts are delivered on time and within budget, achieve and surpass margins, grow business through these contracts, secure and improve renewals, identify new opportunities, manage risks, and meet or exceed customer expectations at every stage.

This role manages our portfolio of UK Defence contracts; therefore, eligibility for UK SC clearance is essential as we cannot sponsor this clearance.

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee all aspects of commercial performance and financial management of programmes and contracts, including revenue, demand planning, budgets, costs, and profit improvement.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of contracts to inform decision-making aimed at optimizing performance, costs, and profitability.
  • Establish KPIs such as revenue, costs, margins, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze contract and business performance, preparing monthly reports.
  • Create plans and schedules for contract execution, including installations, maintenance, upgrades, and obsolescence management, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure delivery of contractual obligations, including service delivery, invoicing, and payments, within time and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address gaps and escalations promptly.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships and oversee deliverables, sub-contracts, and flow-down requirements.
  • Conduct regular contract review meetings with customers and take necessary actions.
  • Work with teams to improve contracts, reduce costs, and implement efficiencies.
  • Analyze and mitigate contract risks, manage penalties, and negotiate as needed.
  • Handle contract changes, renewals, and amendments within delegated authorities.
  • Coordinate contract launches, reviews, and closures.
  • Identify and develop proposals for additional business opportunities, collaborating with sales teams.
  • Manage projects related to global customer and strategic partner offerings and framework agreements.
  • Maintain contract data and contribute to account planning, forecasting, and demand planning.
  • Lead and support development projects, tools, and processes.

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Programme Management Qualification is desirable

Experience:

  • Experience in contract delivery, service delivery, programme management, and commercial management within complex service contracts, MRO, defence, or aerospace supply chains.
  • Management and optimization of large-scale service contracts, including contract improvements.
  • Experience in maintenance, repair, and overhaul business.
  • Drafting business proposals, contract amendments, and costing.
