Job description

The Product team at Snap Inc. comprises designers, scientists, and product managers who work collaboratively to develop products and experiences that connect our community in meaningful ways.

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our team in London.

What you'll do:

  1. Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and statistical modeling to generate impactful and actionable insights for business and product decisions.
  2. Drive timely decision-making processes to improve product development, execution, and adoption.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, marketers, and designers.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in data modeling to identify product trends and opportunities.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and tracking core metrics to analyze product performance.
  • Ability to create visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate insights effectively.
  • Strong collaboration skills with engineering and product teams.
  • Self-motivated to initiate and complete projects with minimal guidance.
  • Good understanding of Snapchat’s products and user experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in quantitative analysis or data science.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience with SQL or similar querying languages.
  • 3+ years experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Experience with statistical techniques like A/B testing, causal inference, or modeling.
  • Advanced degree in a related quantitative field.
  • Experience in social media, digital media, advertising, or mobile tech industries.
  • Experience applying machine learning and statistical analysis to product solutions.
