IT Asset Management (ITAM) involves the systematic tracking and utilisation of an organisation’s physical and digital assets. Responsibilities include cataloguing, deploying, maintaining, upgrading, and responsibly disposing of assets to ensure optimal use throughout their lifecycle. This lifecycle covers planning, procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement, with a focus on understanding total cost of ownership and maximising asset value. As an experienced ITAM Manager, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement, and be adaptable to competing demands. The role is multifaceted and essential for managing IT assets efficiently, ensuring compliance, and supporting the organisation's IT strategy.
