A leading healthcare institution in London seeks a motivated Registered Nurse to join their research nursing team. The role involves providing exceptional care to patients in early phase clinical trials, particularly in oncology and hematology. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organisational skills, with a focus on detail. This position offers opportunities for professional development and training in clinical research nursing.
The research nursing team in the CRFs provides exceptional specialist nursing care to a wide variety of patients taking part in early phase clinical trials of experimental cancer and medicine treatments. This includes First-in-Human medicines and experimental early phase treatments in oncology, hematology, medicine, neurology, and COVID-19 vaccine studies.
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organisational skills and a keen attention to detail. The successful candidate will have experience in hematology or oncology and clinical research, with an interest in working across a range of studies, including cancer, medicine, and different specialties such as COVID-19 vaccine studies within the Clinical Research Facility (CRF).
The post holder will be supported by senior nurses within the units. This role is ideal for a highly motivated nurse eager to develop their experience in early phase clinical research nursing. The post holder will work closely with the Research Nursing Team, Principal Investigators, and research support staff to ensure compliance with Trust Policy, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Human Tissue Act (HTA), and trial-specific protocols.
Applicants must be Registered Nurses with post-registration experience. Experience in cancer care is essential; experience in clinical research is desirable, and full training will be provided.
