Job description

The Production Operative will be required to multi-skill across process areas to support production output.

The responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

1. Follow process instructions to help achieve daily production targets.
2. Adhere to all health and safety procedures.
3. Wear full PPE as required.
4. Weigh, fill, and press Squib Cartridges.
5. Manufacture and prepare products for Chaff production.
6. Assemble Flares.
7. Ensure compliance with Core Health & Safety training.
8. Maintain quality control of all products.
9. Handle pyrotechnic products safely.

Production Operative Specification

• Right to live and work in the UK, with the ability to obtain a BPSS.
• Ability to wear full PPE.
• Experience in a similar environment preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures.

This role involves working over 4 days, 34 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, from 14:30 to 23:45. Flexibility is essential to support the team effectively.

The successful candidate will receive a salary ranging from £23,196.16 to £26,360.88, including a 20% shift premium.

Shift Levels:

• Level 1: 0-6 months of service
• Level 2: 6-12 months of service
• Level 3: 12 months of service or more

Basic Rate:

• Level 1: £13.12
• Level 2: £13.70
• Level 3: £14.91
