A leading company in the railway sector seeks a Communications Officer to manage customer communications for engineering works and service changes. The role involves collaborating with internal teams, executing campaigns, and supporting external communications strategies. The communications officer will deliver customer communications for major engineering work, special events, and activities affecting train services. This role is vital for informing customers who rely on our services, impacting their travel experience.
The officer will support the external communications team with daily press office operations and campaigns, and provide support to other SWR functions.
Responsibilities include liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders such as Network Rail, planning and executing customer communication campaigns across various channels, and supporting projects led by the external communications team and wider Corporate Affairs.
Main duties include:
South Western Railways HQ, located on the 4th Floor at South Bank Central, near Waterloo station, accessible by public transport.
Standard hours are 37 per week, 09:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday, with an out-of-hours on-call duty approximately every 7/8 weeks.
