About

Sewell Wallis is working with an innovative and rapidly growing business based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, which is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team and make a significant impact by supporting the company's scientific team and projects.

Role Overview

This is a newly-created Project Manager position where you will manage a team of 4 scientists and support long-term projects related to product innovation and creation.

Responsibilities

1. Developing Scopes of Work, project costings, project reporting, and producing KPIs.
2. Monitoring workload allocation, project prioritisation, and resourcing.
3. Providing technical support and scientific contributions to commercial R&D projects.
4. Collaborating with external partners in a commercial setting and leading client projects and activities.
5. Developing and nurturing a network of partners (supply chain, raw materials, ecosystem) to facilitate R&D project delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Background in project or commercial management.
2. Masters degree in Science or Engineering, or a keen interest in these areas.
3. Experience managing small to medium teams.
4. Innovative mindset with the ability to develop new ideas and grow with the business.
5. Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
