Nursery: Bright Horizons Southgate Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary: Starting from £27,231.95 - £28,274.40 per annum (Full-time equivalent - Pro-rata) (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Southgate, London, N1

We are looking for a part-time, Level 2 or 3 qualified Practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Southgate nursery situated in Southgate, London, located a 3-minute walk from Southgate tube. This role is working 1pm-6:30pm, Monday-Friday.

The 99 place setting occupies a fabulous fully refurbished traditional building where great emphasis is placed upon big windows, to maximize the feeling of light and space within the building, aiming to bring the outdoors in! They also offer extracurricular Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes, and unusually for a London nursery, it has a large garden at the rear where children can play sports and enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities!

What you’ll be doing

• Plan, create, implement, and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
• Develop and maintain strong parent/carer partnerships
• Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety, and safeguarding
• Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment

What we’re looking for

• Full and Relevant Level 2/3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
• Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar)
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
