Job Description:

PE Global is recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician for our multinational manufacturing client based in Desford. The role is an initial 12 month contract and the rates for this role are £18.04 PAYE - £24.70 Umbrella p/h.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining equipment and using a computerised maintenance system.
  • Responding to equipment breakdowns and completing repairs to equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions on industrial/assembly equipment, machinery and building as required.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as per schedules.
  • Order replacement parts and stocks.
  • Adhere to the company's Health & Safety policy and safe working practices.
  • Adhere to Caterpillar's Values in Action: Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Critical thinking skills – root cause analysis.
  • Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team and work towards agreed outcomes.
  • Electrical bias – fault finding would be a great addition to the team OR experience with PLC systems.
  • Experience in using PLC based systems would be an advantage.
