Job description

The Cyber Advisory team provides cyber security assurance, advice, and guidance to clients on all aspects to help them build and maintain a robust security environment. We identify cyber risks and work closely with clients to understand their unique digital opportunities and challenges, offering tailored and strategic advice. We support clients in assessing, building, and managing their cyber security capabilities, from ensuring compliance with industry regulations and mitigating risks to enhancing their security maturity.

Within the national cyber security team, you will be responsible for delivering assurance and advisory services to a diverse range of clients both nationally and internationally, including FTSE 350 companies. Our clients span sectors such as:

  • Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, and Investment
  • Corporates/Private Sector/Industry & Services
  • Central and Local Government
  • Retail and Consumer Products
Job Purpose

The role involves supporting project delivery across the entire project lifecycle, from sales and business development to project planning, execution, and final reporting. You will contribute actively to final recommendations and client engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in all stages of the consulting sales cycle, from lead qualification to delivery assurance
  • Think strategically and communicate effectively in business language
  • Become a subject matter expert in domains such as IT risk management, cyber risk, security governance, compliance, and maturity assessments, leading industry practices like NIST CSF and ISO 2700x
  • Manage communication of key findings, produce reports, and deliver presentations to senior management and stakeholders
  • Maintain industry knowledge and stay current with trends
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to developing project management and quality assurance methodologies

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience in cyber security advisory work
  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., MSc Information Security, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, ISO 27001 LA) are desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build client trust
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and good time management
  • Commitment to continuous learning and self-development
