Job Title: Senior Test Specialist

Overview

The demand for Senior Test Specialists in the Defence industry is rising. We are looking to expand our team of Manual Testing specialists with automation experience to work on a mission-critical project. You will be part of a high-performing environment delivering robust infrastructure testing across various environments. The role involves hands-on testing and leading and mentoring other testers within your team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan, design, and execute manual and automated tests (functional, non-functional, end-to-end)
2. Produce high-quality test documentation, including test plans, scripts, reports, and defect logs
3. Collaborate with stakeholders across the programme to ensure testing aligns with project goals
4. Support multiple delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and V-Model
5. Guide junior team members and uphold testing best practices

Essential Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience across all phases of testing, including integration and regression
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure testing, including Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, SCOM, SCCM, VMware
• Understanding of software testing lifecycles and delivery methodologies
• Skilled in JIRA, defect management, and version control systems (e.g., Subversion)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• ISTQB Foundation certification or higher
