We’re looking for an Assistant General Manager to join us on our journey of true nourishment.

The Role |

As an Assistant General Manager, you'll be an integral part of the restaurant leadership team, supporting the General Manager in leading the restaurant in the Wagamama way. You’ll live and breathe our people promise, values, and embody core leadership behaviors. You’ll inspire and motivate your team to provide exceptional service, always striving to exceed expectations. You should have a passion for people, food, and hospitality and be driven to make positive change.

Perks and Quirks |

  • A competitive salary, £3000 bonus opportunity per year, and an average of £140 tips per week*
  • Pension scheme and 28 days holiday
  • Access up to 30% of your earnings before payday with Wagestream
  • Dedicated 6-week training programme
  • £14 - £25 of free Wagamama food allowance on every shift
  • 50% discount at Wagamama and 30% off all other TRG brands with family and friends
  • Internal progression opportunities if you're aspiring to become a General Manager
  • Kintsugi Wellness: access to counselors, cycle to work scheme, discounted gym and leisure
  • Family-friendly policy: 26 weeks full pay and 13 weeks half pay for expectant or adopting parents
  • Financial wellbeing support: access to salary-repaid loans for urgent financial needs

What We Look For |

  • An experienced hospitality manager capable of leading a restaurant team with positive behavior and actions, driving performance in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • A strong communicator who engages in genuine conversations with consideration and care, ensuring your team feels heard and supported
  • Experience in understanding restaurant financial performance and identifying opportunities
  • Ability to manage restaurant and labor budgets
  • A passionate leader with experience in team performance and development
  • An inspiring individual who engages their team to nourish and flourish in their roles and careers
  • A forward-thinking problem solver, able to think on your feet and make quick decisions

The Wagamama Way |

Kaizen, meaning ‘good change’, is our core philosophy. It influences every dish we create and drives us to find better ways in all we do—food, thinking, and working. We are committed to championing change in our communities and on the planet.

Celebrating difference for three decades, we don’t conform—we embrace personality over perfection. We welcome everyone and their unique stories, promising to support and build trust. We create safe spaces for real conversations with open hearts and minds.

All we ask is for you to dish up what makes you different.

Be you, be Wagamama
