General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist

We have an excellent permanent job opportunity for a General Adult Consultant working for a private service based in Essex. This is a full-time role, covering a 21-bedded adult acute ward.

Salary: £154,000 per annum + £8.4k car allowance

Position: General Adult Consultant

Hours: Full time

Setting: 21 bedded adult acute ward

Location: Essex, Clacton

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely
2. Medication management
3. Quality assurance, complaints, and co-production
4. Delivery of NICE guidance
5. Lead and manage the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards

Requirements:

1. Be medically qualified, MRC Psych or equivalent
2. Be innovative and imaginative with the ability to initiate corporate decisions
3. Have essential understanding of current developments in psychiatry and other aspects of mental health
4. Have substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, contemporary issues in mental health, knowledge of and experience in purchaser/provider contractual issues
5. Have previous Consultant experience
