Job description

Are you an experienced and safety-conscious banksman looking for a contract opportunity in the Hessle area? We have an upcoming requirement for a skilled individual to join a busy new build housing site, with a start date in June.

About the Role:

As a banksman, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe movement of vehicles and plant machinery around the construction site. Your key duties will include:

• Directing and guiding vehicle and plant movements safely and efficiently.
• Ensuring that all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with safety regulations.
• Maintaining clear communication with drivers and site personnel.
• Identifying and mitigating potential hazards related to vehicle and plant movement.
• Adhering strictly to site health and safety procedures at all times.
• Assisting with general site duties when required.

Skills / Experience:

• Proven experience working as a Banksman on construction sites, ideally within the new build housing sector.
• A valid and recognised Banksman/Traffic Marshall ticket.
• A strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to vehicle and plant movement.
• Excellent communication and signalling skills.
• Ability to remain alert and focused in a busy environment.
• A responsible and safety-conscious attitude.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.
