Dementia Care Assistant for a person P/T @ £13.74/hr in Cramlington - FTE - £26.8k - Cramlington - NE23

Job Overview

Are you patient, understanding, and reliable with a driving license and your own vehicle? Do you have previous experience of working with vulnerable adults with dementia or in a caring role?

If so, please consider providing much needed and valuable support for a gentleman and his caring family. We are looking for someone to provide 4 hours per week of support (which can be flexible) to enable this man, who comes across as very well and capable, to access the community to reduce his isolation and engage in things he enjoys.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist the client in accessing the community.
  2. Provide support in areas of difficulty, including assessing risk (e.g., road safety and spatial awareness).
  3. Prompt the client for toilet use and food or drink requests.
Additional Information

Personal care is not required in this role as this gentleman is independent in that respect, although he may take a little longer to do things many people may take for granted.

Rate of Pay: £13.74 per hour
