Occupational Health Advisor

Location: Willand, Devon

Salary: £45,000 / Part-time or Full-time opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational health cover to agency staff.
• Support the company's health campaigns within the engagement plan to improve staff turnover.
• Conduct home visits to support long-term sick return-to-work programs, reducing absence.
• Advise on legal and legislative changes to minimize legal risks.
• Perform food handler assessments.
• Advise on preventative healthcare measures.
• Undertake confined space health assessments, forklift driver health assessments, and night shift worker assessments.
• Manage referrals and provide advice regarding capability and rehabilitation.

Key Skills:

Essential Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Health.

Experience/Knowledge:

• Forklift truck medicals.
• DSE assessments (to be conducted by trained personnel; occupational health involved if issues arise).
• Night worker medicals.
• Risk assessments for new and expectant mothers.
• Skin surveillance.
• Engineers' medicals.
• LGV medicals.
• Vibration white finger.
• Knowledge of lead, asbestos, and radiation safety.
